Då skulle vi alla se att när Mister Martin Chatterbrain tystnade så skulle den kyrka som är byggd av idéer, föreställningar, teorier och deras detaljredovisningar, som förutsätter att dess medlemmar vill sitta och lyssna på när dessa teorier detaljförklaras från en prediksstol tre meter ovanför marken, framstå som helt absurd.

Fullkomligt absurd.

Men vi skulle också i samma stund av klarhet se den kyrka vi saknar, som vi längtar efter, en kyrka som vågar veta, som vågar sitt hantverk, nämligen att vara en herde för fåren och visa oss fram till det vår själ längtar efter men som vi är så rädda för: den djupa tystnaden, det medkännande lyssnandet och den i handling gränsöverskridande gemenskapen med våra medmänniskor, natur och kosmos, med det heliga, med Jag är… En kyrka man inte skriver ut sig ur, lika lite som man skriver ut sig ur sin egen kropp…

Om kyrkan ändå fick hjärnblödning en stund!!! kanske det är det som nu är på gång då folk i storlek med hela Ålands befolkning har skrivit ut sig under en vecka.
